Accelerated Reader (AR) is a reading program here at JCS to get our
students to do some extra reading outside of school. Your AR grade
is calculated by points earned. Each book has a point value on it,
which is listed under the book level number.
After finishing a
book, you can take a quiz on it, and if you get a passing grade (60%
or higher) you are to print your Tops Report out and hand it in to
your English teacher. You also must read in your reading range,
which will be assigned to you at the beginning of the year.
